Make In India Support

India is the fastest-growing country with rich resources, enormous potentials, and demographic dividends, but Indian resources are not utilized properly. The Prime Minister of India presented the initiative by which Indian resources can be utilized fully – “MAKE IN INDIA”. The Make in India movement has contributed a lot to the economic development of the nation. This campaign was started with the motive to make India a global hub for manufacturing by encouraging foreign investors and making India an imperative investment destination.

Make in India launched on September 25, 2014, is an initiative to facilitate investment, foster innovation, build best in class manufacturing infrastructure, make doing business easier, and enhance skill development. Make in India (MII) was one of the first ‘Vocal for Local’ initiatives that introduced the world to India’s manufacturing sector. The “Make in India” initiative is built on four pillars identified to boost entrepreneurship in India, not just in manufacturing but also in other sectors. New Processes, New Infrastructure, New Sectors, and New Mindset are the four pillars of Make in India.

The Make in India initiative has made significant progress and is now focusing on 27 sectors under Make in India 2.0. The Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade is in charge of coordinating action plans for the manufacturing industry, while the Department of Commerce coordinates action plans for the service sector.
